The Lightning Thief: Point of View

    What point of view is

    Point of view tells you who tells the story.

    First person I, me, my The narrator is a character in the story. Third person he, she, they The narrator is outside the story.
    Narrator: the voice that tells the story. Pronoun clues: words such as I, he, and she that show the point of view.

    Third person limited: the narrator knows the thoughts of only 1 character. Third person omniscient: the narrator knows the thoughts of all characters.

    Change the point of view

    1. Click a point of view.
    2. Look at the pronoun clues in the passage.
    3. Look at the eye. The eye shows where the narrator is.

    CAUTION: Do not count the word I inside quotation marks. A character can say I in a third person story.
